Drawings

These are a collection of drawings done mostly as illustrations for newspaper articles. I enjoyed having to come up with a visual concept to suit the written word and capture the attention of the reader.

I love to draw. They are mostly done with a rapidograph pen. I love the simplicity of black and white and, at the time I did these, I used the rapidograph. Some drawing have gray in them which was an experiment in tonal fluids for reproduction.

The nudes are pen and ink. I used a bamboo pen, sumi ink and water. These were not used in the newspaper but I like the spirit of the image.
